“The exhibition Ordini e Disordini (Orders and Disorders), dedicated to Giuseppe Zigaina (1924-2015) and Emilio Vedova (1919-2006), is the result of the prestigious collaboration with art publisher and printer Federico Santini.
As a man and as an artist, Zigaina was mentally ordered in life as he was in his artistic work. Inspired by a Renaissance culture ranging from Paolo Uccello to Durer, he organized the space with great intellectual skill. He is not a surveyor, he does not take measurements, he has simply mastered the canons of compositional beauty that stand out brilliantly in his drawings and engravings.
Vedova, on the other hand, is disorder, even though in his attitudes he demanded order from himself and from others. He was pure impetus and a seeker of disorder. He shattered space, broke compositional structure, sought invention in chaos.
The exhibition will feature a selection of graphic works, drawings and literary files that will juxtapose the divergences and affinities of these two great artists of our 20th century”.
